The Ceremony- Part 2

In my dream, I am a young white male artist.
I follow the others up the cliffs to a beautiful and modern house at the top.
Inside we gather in the living room to watch a film of an elementary school play.
The children come out from behind the continents and read a poem.
The camera zooms in on a little girl as she reads her poem.
"I have tired so hard,
I cannot try anymore.
I have tried so hard,
I cannot try anymore."

The screen is pulled up to reveal a memorial to the little girl in the film. Apparently I am at a memorial service for the little girl who had drown in the ocean some time before.

The Ceremony

The Ceremony
a dream from 2007

The vigil began at night, on dark cliffs with dark waves crashing. The mourners carried candles and stood waiting in silence.

Two strong men pulled a boy up from below using pulleys and rope.

Once he reached the ledge he recited this poem:

"I've tried so hard,
I cannot try anymore.
I've tried so hard,
I cannot try anymore."
